AVSAB Recommends Positive Reinforcement PDF Print E-mail

The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) recently released a position statement on the use of punishment for behavior modification (training), which received some press from AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association--looked to as the "gold standard" for quality veterinary care).

 Purrfect Paws strongly supports the AVSAB's statement and join with the AAHA in supporting the position statement.

The Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers has created the only independent, psychometrically sound test that is not affiliated with any school or training program.
