To Whom It
May Concern,
It has been
a pleasure
to provide a
quality
daycare
experience
for dogs in
the Buffalo
area.
However, we
were
notified by
our landlord
in
mid-November
that they
will be
renovating
our building
and will
terminate
our lease
effective
December 31,
2012. Given
this news, I
have spent
the last few
weeks making
some
difficult
decisions
about the
future of
Purrfect
Paws.
The last day
of daycare
at Purrfect
Paws will be
December 21,
2012.
We are no
longer
accepting
new daycare
clients
effective
immediately.
Our last
playgroups
will be
December 15,
2012.
I am
currently
negotiating
with other
facilities
to use space
for K9 Nose
Work®
classes and
other
obedience
classes. I
will make my
class
schedule
(class
description,
days and
times)
available
online as
soon as I
have
determined
where,
specifically,
I will be
teaching.
Several of
our other
services
will be
unaffected
by this
change. I
will
continue to
offer the
following
services
with no
interruption:
-
BEHAVIOR
EVALUATION/MODIFICATION
PLANS
-
DAY
TRAINING
-
PRIVATE
TRAINING
-
TRAINING
SESSIONS
BY SKYPE
-
BOARD
AND
TRAIN
(dogs
only)
-
PRE-ADOPTION
COUNSELING/PET
MATCHING
(For more
information
on those
services,
visit our
Services
Offered page
or
I hope that
you continue
to refer me
to your
canine and
feline
clients when
they require
assistance
from a
behavior and
training
professional.
I am
refocusing
my time and
efforts so I
can focus
more
effectively
and
efficiently
on those
clients who
need
assistance
with
behavior
concerns
with their
pet.
Additionally
I will
continue to
serve as the
Behavior
Specialist
at the SPCA
Serving Erie
County. At
Canisius
College I
will
continue to
serve as an
Adjunct
Professor in
the Animal
Behavior,
Ecology and
Conservation
department.
I anticipate
completing
my MS in
Anthrozoology
at Canisius
within the
next two
years.
Research
opportunities
focused on
our
companion
animals may
also be in
my future!
While it may
be cliché,
it is true:
when one
door closes
more doors
open!
